Know just enough to be dangerous

A Book Shelf

OK, it's "just" a bookshelf. But even here there are some things to learn. One, stain is NOT paint. Never again. The stuff doesn't dry very fast and is very thin and runny. Three coats of stain and one coat on the back. Then a coat of clear polyacrylic. Also wood buttons to cover the screws. Also grooves with hardware to allow for shelves to be placed anywhere needed. And notches at the bottom where the wall moulding is. This allows the book shelf to lay flat against the wall.
